Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 5, 2026
PriceMatcher is operated by Solo Labs LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it. We tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email support@sololabs.co.
What we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Apple, we receive a stable, anonymous identifier from Apple. If you choose to share them, we also receive your name and an email address (which may be Apple's private relay address). We never see your Apple ID password.
Receipt information
You explicitly upload this. Nothing is collected from your phone in the background.
- The receipt photo itself
- Information our scanner extracts from it: store number, purchase date and time, item names, item numbers, prices paid, and totals
Device information
If you allow push notifications, we store the Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token for your device so we can alert you when one of your tracked items drops in price.
Waitlist (our website)
If you sign up for launch updates on our website, we store the email address you submit (and, if present, which link referred you) so we can let you know when the app is available. We don't use it for anything else, and you can ask us to remove it at any time at support@sololabs.co.
What we do not collect
- Your contacts, photos library, or other apps
- Advertising identifiers
- Browsing history outside the app
How we use what we collect
We use what we collect to do things like:
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in
- Show you a list of your purchases and the savings you've claimed
- Periodically check whether items you bought have dropped in price
- Push you a notification when a price drop is worth claiming
- Understand which features get used, through privacy-respecting product analytics tied only to an anonymous account identifier (never your name or email)
- Diagnose crashes and bugs
- Operate, improve, and develop the Service
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it to build advertising profiles. We do not share it with data brokers.
Where your data lives
We rely on a small number of established cloud vendors to run the app: MongoDB and Cloudflare (store your data and receipt images), Vercel (hosting), Apple (Sign in with Apple and push notifications), PostHog (privacy-respecting product analytics), and Sentry (crash and error diagnostics). Each provider has its own privacy practices, and we share with them only what is necessary to operate the service. Our analytics and diagnostics are tied to an anonymous account identifier and limited technical data (such as app version, device model, and IP address); we never send them your name, email, or the contents of your receipts.
We may create and share aggregated or de-identified information (for example, anonymized trends about how products are purchased over time) that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We keep such information in de-identified form, do not attempt to re-identify it, and do not sell your personal information. Aggregated and de-identified information is not subject to the restrictions in this policy.
How long we keep it
- Receipts and items:Items become “expired” once their 30-day price-match window closes. Receipts and their items are retained for your historical dashboard until you delete them or close your account.
- Account: Kept until you ask us to delete it.
- Device tokens:Removed when Apple tells us they're no longer valid, and when you delete your account.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Delete an individual receipt or alert from inside the app
- Request a full export of your data by emailing support@sololabs.co
- Delete your account and everything tied to it instantly from inside the app: open Settings and tap Delete Account. This removes your receipts, items, alerts, and notification settings right away and revokes the app's Sign in with Apple access. You can also email us and we'll complete it within 30 days.
Depending on where you live (e.g. California, EU/UK), you may have additional rights under laws like CCPA or GDPR. We'll honor those requests at the address above.
Children
PriceMatcher is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
We use TLS for all data in transit, encrypted-at-rest storage with our cloud providers, and Sign in with Apple so you never give us a password to leak. No system is perfect. If you discover a vulnerability, please email us before disclosing publicly.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top and notify you in the app before it takes effect.
